Months ago, I bought a burger press at work - we have a lot of random things - which is probably inspired my mum to buy The Burger cookbook for me. As well as making burgers, I thought I'd review The Burger just to bring something back to my blog seen as I've been in a slump recently with reviews, both books and films. Though I've only chosen one recipe from the book, I am going to review how easy the instructions were to follow and then maybe review another recipe later on.
Though it is a really simple, easy choice, I chose to make cheeseburgers because I knew they would go down well for dinner as everyone likes them, though I did give them the option to not have cheese on top.
Burgers have very few ingredients in them in general as they continue meat and something vegetables to give a bit of variation in flavour so there wasn't a lot that I had to buy for this recipe, just mince, onions, and stock which made a nice change to buying at least ten ingredients for one recipe.
This recipe was extremely simple to follow as I was able to just dump everything into a bowl and mixed together before dividing it up into four balls which I then pressed. It was unbelievably simple and I don't know why I haven't done this sooner.
As long as the other recipes are similar to this one, I will use this book again and again trying out new recipes and may even make my own burger buns next time.
After everything, this recipe was extremely simple as are most of the recipes in this book which also includes homemade condiments (ketchup and mayonnaise for example) and drinks (lemonade and iced tea for example) which I could have made but in all honesty I forgot to write any of the ingredients down because I just went straight out this morning to go shopping. With it being such a simple recipe to follow, I highly recommend this book for those who like good food but don't want to mess around for ages to prepare a meal, it is quick and easy if you're in a rush but want to cook.
