Geek Alert - March Loot Crate

It's Loot Crate time once again and it's another bit of geeky stuff for me this month while I decide on whether to continue My Geek Box, my other geek subscription.

Loot Crate's theme for March is Covert and clues for this month's crate were James Bond, Orphan Black, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and there are a number of wearables too which caught my attention immediately because I love Orphan Black, it's one of my favourite shows, and I love pretty much anything Marvel.

I love the creativity that goes into the inside of the crate because it sums up the theme extremely well before you even get into the items that came in it.  This is a wonderful bit of art and can't believe they are still keeping up this level of imagination.

I adore JSalvador's artwork and combining it in the form of a T-shirt is wonderful so I am thrilled that I got this T-shirt in this month's crate, especially because it's not black this time, bringing some variety to the Loot Crate shirts now.

As I've said before, Orphan Black is one of my favourite TV shows; I love the concept and the characters that drive the TV show especially given that half of the main characters are played by the same actor but all of her characters have individual personalities.  I actually actively went out to find this comic in Forbidden Planet but I couldn't find it at all so I am ecstatically happy about this part of this month's crate because it meant I was still able to read it and I can't wait to read the next one.

While not my favourite TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still a good show and gives an insight on what happens in the Marvel Cinematic Universe outside of the films and having a replica of something from the series brings the series to live for me.  This is a great collector's piece with certification of authenticity so I am thrilled to have it.  I have this hanging from a hook in my room now because it brings a spark of colour and could make a great addition to a costume if I ever go to a convention as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. if I want a quick costume.

One of the wearables that came in this month's crate was this stealth watch that looks blank until you push the face and the time pops up.  I thought this was clever and while I have a watch I wear all of the time, this new one will allow me to have something different to wear, or I could use it as part of a costume along with the lanyard - the possibilities are endless really.  I love weird things like this so Loot Crate are doing an excellent job.

The paracord survival bracelet stumped me for a few moments because other than a bracelet, I had no idea how you were supposed to be able to do anything else with it but once I read the sheet that came in the crate and watched the video, everything made a lot more sense.  This is one of those helpful doohickies that come in handy on a camping trip which would be excellent if I hadn't vowed to never go camping again.  However, I like the colour scheme of this bracelet because it's bright so I would just wear it as a bracelet but now I know I'll always have something if I am in serious wilderness trouble because you never know.

Notebooks always come in handy and this twin pack is a wonderful addition to this month's theme because now I just stick a small notebook in my bag rather than lugging around my big A4 ones when I'm out and about.

While I have heard of Mad Libs, it isn't really a game I have ever seen because they are not particularly popular in the UK, or at least they're not around where I live, so this was an interesting item to receive this month because it gave me the opportunity to learn how to play this game and now I'm slightly addicted to see what kind of story I get in the end.  Thank you, Loot Crate, for the new experiences.

Digital content in Loot Crate is always a bit hit and miss for me because I don't tend to use it but when it comes to comics I like to read new stuff so I can say I have tried it so I am pleased with this month's content because now I have a new comic to get stuck into.  The concept of this month's content, a comic about a ninja intrigued me even more because it is different from my normal superhero comics so it's great to have something new.

Another addition to my ever growing badge collection, I love this month's badge because it brings to mind James Bond, a classic British character, which makes me proud.

Loot Crate are on fire with this month's crate because I've loved every single thing about it and I am glad I have kept the subscription going as I like the surprises I get and the new stuff that they introduce to me.  I am kind of hoping for something superhero related in the near future so I will just have to wait and see but I do highly recommend Loot Crate because it's always different and you get cool stuff in it every month and could be anything from film related to more for gamers but there is always something for everyone I have found.
