It's the middle of the month and that means My Geek Box has arrived; I was so excited about this month's box because I had a strong feeling that there was going to be something Avengers related because of the new film coming out in a week.
This month's theme is Alliance; we can all have a tendency to pick sides when it comes to a franchise and I know when I would pick Captain America's side over Iron Man's when it comes to anything Marvel related as an example of where my allegiances lie.

I am thrilled with this month's T-shirt because it is Avengers related, one of my favourite films and superhero-orientated group and I am so excited for Avengers: Age of Ultron next week. Thank you, My Geek Box, this is one of my favourite things I have been given from either Loot Crate or you.
I am not a big World of Warcraft fan as I don't play games online very often so I wasn't so excited about this part of this month's box but I may save it for a child's birthday or someone who actually likes World of Warcraft because they could appreciate this more than I.

Adventure Time is something I've never really watched though I am aware of it because my best friend seems to be obsessed with it so I may watch a couple of episodes to see what it's about, a quality I like about My Geek Box and Loot Crate as they introduce me to new things. The design of this cup is great because the character is instantly recognisable even though it is just a simple face on the cup. I do feel if I left it unattended, my friend may steal it but she can always use it when she's at my house and we're drinking copious amounts of coffee.
If I had to choose between Marvel and DC, I confess that I have alliances with Marvel as there are more characters I like out of the entire universe in comparison to DC, though I still like a lot of DC characters. That is probably why I like this Marvel wallet that came in this month's My Geek Box because it brings together some of my favourite characters and even though I might not use it all of the time, it will come in handy for when I need something smaller than my normal purse.

I never object to having a bottle opener and I thoroughly enjoy Transformers just for something simple to watch as robots trash a city during epic battles so I am pleased with this addition to My Geek Box. To make things better, I am glad that this is an Optimus Prime keyring rather than anything Decepticon related so that is always a positive from my point of view.
These American sweets were great because I love things that are lemon flavoured and I am considering more of these even though I'm not particularly bothered when it comes to sweets. Thank you, My Geek Box, for something new to try.
The T-shirt was great this month as well as a few of the smaller bits but I do kind of wish that there was something to do with Harry Potter or Game of Thrones as alluded to when they announced the theme. While I like the random aspect of My Geek Box, I have decided to cancel my subscription as of this month because I am not as excited about the themes or the contents of each box unlike Loot Crate. I have liked the themes of My Geek Box and they do seem to be aimed more at popular British culture which is good from my point of view given that I live in jolly old Blighty. If you want a complete surprise, I would recommend My Geek Box because they give you the theme and very little hint at what will be in each month's box.
For those that are still interested in getting My Geek Box, next month's theme is Respawn!
