June's Loot Crate theme is Cyber, just in time for Terminator: Genysis, so as to be expected, it was full of science fiction related items, including Terminator. I had no idea really what was going to turn up this month but I was intrigued by the previews and I'm glad there was a T-shirt too.
This month's box was really random but quite clever as it integrated one of this month's items into it. However, I don't think it is as good as previous boxes where all of the different TV shows and films etc. were brought together as an embodiment of the theme. For those that aren't bothered about Terminator, like me, then it was wasted. It's not that it wasn't imaginative, it just seems so simple in comparison to something like last month's locker room for Unite. I hope next month that there is a bit inclusion in the box, bringing the different geekdoms together.
This is by far my favourite item out of this month's crate and definitely one of my favourite shirts that I have gotten from Loot Crate. I may not be fanatic about Transformers but I love Tron, it's one of my favourite films. I loved how they were mashed together, bringing the most iconic images of both films together. Plus it's nice material, though not overly thick, so it's a good shirt to sling on underneath a jacket in this semi-warm weather that Britain is known for.
The sheer amount of detail on this replica is impressive; sometimes you can get a replica, it can be completely rubbish but this one is fantastic. I may not be overly keen on Terminator, I can appreciate the work that went into it as it is movie production standard and I love to see artwork from films, whether it is 2D or 3D. I may keep this or give as a present to a Terminator fan who would be able to fully appreciate it.

It's been a number of years since I've seen any of Terminator films but I understand the significance of this keyring, it's a terminator brain chip, though I can't remember which terminator it belongs to. When my friend at work, who used to get Loot Crate and is a fan of Terminator, found out about what this month's theme was, he got very excited about it so I have decided that he can have this keyring because he'll appreciate it a lot more than me. Plus I have an abundance of keyrings already.
It is a strange coincidence that both Loot Crate and My Geek Box have a mousemat in them this month; unfortunately, nothing has changed, I don't use mousemats for anything so it's a bit of a waste on me and I have never played Borderlands, it's one of those things I've heard about and know about but don't really care for. I'm sure I can find someone who likes the games.
It's a shame I don't have a Nerf gun because I really want to use this target practice poster, it looks like fun. I haven't watched Battlestar Galactica in a long time but I know enough that I want to hit the cylon. Maybe if I make my sister one for her steampunk outfits, she'll let me use it against the cylon.
Until today, I had no real clue what or who Nerd HQ were and now it fascinates me because of all of the actors and such that they brought together for interviews. I've watched a few of them today already and am slowly being sucked into a Youtube whirlpool. See you on the other side. Some of these are going on my laptop covers because the designs are awesome.
This was such a vague thing in this month's crate, I actually had to look up what it was and thankfully I wasn't the only one when I looked it up. Blade Runner is not a film I know very well but it has intrigued and now I'm going to sew this on my backpack now, yay!
It's always handy to have a zipped case so I found it useful that Loot Crate put this in this month's crate. The design is simple yet pleasing to the eye and glows in the dark. While I may not need a case all of the time, at least I'll have one, just in case.
Completely summing up cyber in one simple picture, this month's badge is perfect as the blue circuits remind me of Tron, one of my favourite films with a cyber theme.
Even though I am not a massive Terminator fan, this month's Loot Crate is wonderful as it sums up the theme so well. I am thrilled with the T-shirt as Tron is one of my all-time favourite films and mixing that with Transformers or more specifically, Optimus Prime, as it brought the most iconic parts of each thing and melded them together. The Terminator items were good too as they are different and not something I would have thought about having beforehand but the skull replica is fascinating and it is impressive to look at, making a great addition to my geek shelves.
